ABIDE BEFORE YOU ADVANCE

I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. John 15:5, KJV

It is possible to be busy for God while becoming distant from God. We may serve, plan, teach and pursue great things, yet Jesus reminds us that lasting fruit does not come from activity alone, it comes from abiding in Him. A branch does not struggle to produce fruit; it remains connected to the vine. In the same way, spiritual strength flows from daily fellowship with Christ through His Word, prayer and obedience. Before God sends us out, He draws us closer. Before He works through us, He works within us. Do not allow responsibilities, distractions or even ministry to replace intimacy with God. Return to His presence. Let His Word renew your mind, His Spirit strengthen your heart and His voice direct your steps. When you abide in Christ, your life will produce fruit that human effort could never create. Your greatest strength is not found in how much you can accomplish, but in how deeply you remain connected to Christ. Abide in Him and your life will carry the fruit, power and evidence of His presence. Prayer point: Heavenly Father, teach me to abide in You before I attempt to advance. Draw me deeper into Your presence, root me firmly in Your Word and help me remain sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit. Deliver me from striving in my own strength and let everything I do flow from fellowship with You. May my life bear lasting fruit that brings You glory and fulfils Your purpose.
